WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY WHEELCHAIR ?

It is a type of chair that is fitted with wheels and is used as a means of transport by a person who are unable to walk dur to any reason such as illness, injury or any kind of disability.

TYPES OF WHEELCHAIR

1. ALL-TERRAIN WHEELCHAIRS

This is the most unusual types of wheelchairs but well worth a mention. They feature large inflated tires with deep treads that enable them to go over just about any terrain.
Many models are more like mobility scooters than wheelchairs, but they do make all-terrain wheelchairs in more traditional forms as well, including manual models. They’re perfect for the outdoorsman who has lost mobility, but not a sense of adventurE.

2. MANUAL WHEELCHAIRS

These are what most people think about when you mention the phrase. Most commonly seen in hospitals and nursing homes, they are the most economical choice for most people.
The Forza Freedom 5000 is a lightweight folding wheelchair of exceptional quality, made of steel. The rigidizer blocks, commonly used with the freedom 5000 family range, make the product extremely stable and, consequently, very easy to propel. The Freedom 5000 is available in standard configurations for immediate delivery, but freedom 5000 also offers a wide range of accessories to meet the differing clinical needs of users and carers for optimal, everyday use. It is cross compatible, easy to transport, maneuver, store and simple to customize. Buy this wheelchair online now.

3. ELECTRIC WHEELCHAIRS

Electric wheelchairs are far and away the most popular variety because they allow those who use them greater freedom of mobility without having to rely on a nurse or other assistant, except perhaps for getting into the chair.
The Meyra Optimus 2 is a prime example of excellent strength and super power. Made of a precision steel frame with high-end materials that offer great durability, it has simple adjustments, halogen lamps and drum brakes for ease of use.  It has a choice between various seat units for maximum support, an electrically operated seat and backrest angle adjustment; and a wide variety of special controls available. Safe and reliable, it allows you to steer directly with an independent wheel suspension system and significant climbing power.

4. AIRPLANE WHEELCHAIRS

This is another niche product, primarily used by airlines to facilitate transport of people who have disabilities, but if you have mobility issues and travel frequently, you can certainly invest in one privately as well.
They tend to be smaller and lighter than traditional manual wheelchairs, being designed to pass between the rows of seats on an airplane, and come with safety buckles so that you can buckle up while in flight, just like all the other passengers.
It is entirely possible, of course, to use them day to day when you’re not traveling, as well.

5. BEACH WHEELCHAIRS

Another highly specialized design, these are almost always made from PVC or hollow aluminum tubes, with almost cartoonishly large wheels to make it easier to traverse the sand. Just because you have mobility issues doesn’t mean you have to be limited in the things you can do or enjoy!
